The approach allows local planning authorities develop ambitious energy plans and policies which have been led by the local community.

• How this approach can be used by local planning authorities, neighbourhood planning groups, community energy groups and civil society groups
• Our open source toolkit of resources, which you can use or adapt to run the approach for yourself, to demonstrate support for renewable energy. This includes how to plan and run workshops with local people, using CSE’s renewable energy calculator tool. We’ll also run through the process of publicising workshops, leading follow up consultation and reporting findings back to the community.
• CSE’s insights and learning from undertaking this approach, including a case study and results from communities CSE have worked with.
