DESCRIPTION:Pop down to Stockton-on-Tees Environment Fair on 15 June where you can explore a range of ways to live more sustainably in Stockton-on-Tees. \n\nThe special fair is part of national Great Big Green Week which celebrates community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.\n\n\n\nSpeak to local organisations\, take part in activities\, find out about local volunteering opportunities and see how you can support the Borough in reaching net zero by 2050. Organisations include:\n\n\nCatalyst\nCleveland Beekeepers Association\nFestival of Thrift\nJ&B Recycling\nSow Northern\nStronger Shores\nSustrans\nTees Valley Fairtrade / Tees Valley Wildlife Trust\n\nPlus many more on the day! \nFamily Workshop – Build Your Own Bird Box & Feeder\nYou can also get crafty with your kids at our fun-filled workshop\,  where you can build and decorate bird boxes and feeders together. It’s a perfect way to spend quality time with the family while learning about nature and wildlife. DESCRIPTION:The Trees on Tees Woodland Creation Partnership is a partnership of the Tees Valley Mayor and Combined Authority and its constituent local authority partners\, Darlington\, Hartlepool\, Middlesbrough\, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees. \nIn the morning session the Tees Valley Mayor\, Ben Houchen\, will launch the new programme and there will be sessions aimed at explaining the benefits to the business community of tree planting and woodland creation\, and information about how to go about this. \nThe afternoon session will be a more in-depth practical workshop advising land owners and managers of how to obtain the relevant grants and support required to carry out tree planting. \nSpeakers will be drawn from across business\, industry\, farming\, forestry\, carbon offsetting and the environmental sector and will include representatives of Forestry Commission\, AngloAmerican\, the National Farmers Union\, the Woodland Trust\, Forest Carbon\, the Environment Agency\, the Tees Valley Local Nature Partnership\, Local Authorities and The Tees Rivers Trust. \nBuffet lunch is provided. DESCRIPTION:Tees Valley Combined Authority is hosting a roundtable discussion for local authorities in the Tees Valley to discuss the development of a Net Zero industrial cluster by 2040 and what this means for local government. \nThe roundtable will give LA staff and elected portfolio holders an opportunity to share what is going on locally in the Tees Valley and nationally. The session will also be live streamed to assist other authorities across the UK in similar discussions and to share key learnings from the Tees Valley.
