Northern Zero Emission Vehicle Symposium

The Northern Zero Emission Vehicle Symposium (NZEVS) aims to bring together industry and academic leaders to identify and explore areas of common interest related to fleet transition. This event is organised by the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre, in partnership with the Tees Valley Combined Authority.

The event features sandbox sessions for industry practitioners to engage directly with research experts on real-life industrial challenges, tackling topics like:

• vehicles & technology
• common barriers & how to overcome them
• infrastructure, storage & supply chain
• safety & standards
• stakeholder perception of low carbon fuels

In collaboration with delegates, researchers will then evaluate these problems before selecting some to work on. Throughout this process, they will bring new learnings and advice back to industry, ready to be applied in a variety of settings.

The event will be hosted at Redcar & Cleveland College on Wednesday 19 November 2025.
