The Hub has teamed up with heat network specialists FairHeat to host an online session exploring the Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS) for those working across the sector in the North East and Yorkshire region.
Developed in partnership with FairHeat by the government HNTAS is a regulatory framework designed to ensure compliance with technical standards for heat networks and aiming to promote high-performance heat networks by mandating technical requirements such as pipe insulation and water flow temperatures.
The scheme is being phased in over time, with a planned launch in 2027, to allow the sector sufficient time to understand and comply with the requirements.
HNTAS will apply to both new build and existing heat networks,
The session will cover:
• An introduction to HNTAS
• Insight into how the draft standards could impact your networks
• Practical steps you can take now to prepare
The online session will take place on Thursday July 9th from 11am to 12:30pm and places can be secured here
This session has been arranged due to FairHeat’s involvement with the design of HNTAS and should not be seen as an endorsement of any commercial organisation by the Hub.
