The toolkit has been created to make it simple for local authorities and community energy groups – or anyone interested in developing renewable energy plans or gauging local interest – to replicate the approach in their area.
FEL starts community-wide conversations about renewable energy developments that could be owned by and benefit local people. It’s a bottom-up community engagement process, giving everyone the opportunity to share their thoughts about potential renewable energy plans. This ensures any plans or policies will be community-aligned and have social consent.
