This online forum with National Grid (formerly WPD) is for all individuals, local authorities and community groups involved in supporting their local area achieve net zero. No matter where you are on your journey, we welcome you to join our first Net Zero Communities forum of 2024, where we plan to:

explore the significant challenges of decarbonising our homes and communities and the evolving role that community and local energy can play; facilitate collaborative discussions around the challenges and opportunities for communities to engage in decarbonisation efforts in their local areas, and identify enablers of change; give you our analysis on what the upcoming changes to how connections are charged might mean for community energy projects.
