“With energy prices and the cost of living so high, it’s good to know I’m using and paying for less energy just to keep my home warm.” (believe tenant Terry, whose home has been upgraded as part of a national funding programme delivered locally by the Hub)

Following the success of our Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund consortium, we are now leading an ever larger consortium for the fund’s successor programme the Warm Homes Social Housing Fund.

Our Warm Homes consortium is made up of 22 local authorities and housing providers and has secured almost £44m of national funding – matched by £53m of additional partner funding – to improve almost 10,000 properties.

The consortium stretches the breadth of our region, from Northumberland to Sheffield, with individual partners upgrading between 17 to 1713 properties.

The members of our Warm Homes Social Housing Fund consortium are:

  • Believe Housing
  • Bernicia
  • Broadacres
  • Darlington Council
  • City of Doncaster Council
  • Durham Aged Miners’ Homes Association
  • Gateshead Council
  • Gentoo Group
  • Golden Lane Housing Association
  • Great Places
  • Hartlepool Council
  • Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust

  • Keelman Homes

  • Northstar Housing

In March 2026 two consortium members secured an additional £2.6m of funding for home improvements for almost 500 more properties after delivering their targets early!
