Warm Homes Plan

On January 21st 2026 the government published The Warm Homes Plan, described as “the biggest ever public investment to upgrade British homes and cut bills”.

The North East and Yorkshire Net Zero Hub’s current Memorandum of Understanding with government gives it the objective of supporting with the implementation of the plan, and this briefing note sets some of the key interventions detailed within it.

The Plan was published alongside a formal response to a consultation on Heat Network Zoning, details of which can also be found within the briefing.

Budget 2025 - Energy and Net Zero briefing note

On Wednesday November 26th 2025, the Chancellor delivered the Budget Statement. The Hub has pulled together a short briefing note outlining the main proposals relating to energy.

On Wednesday 30th October 2024, the Chancellor delivered the Autumn Statement– an update to the House of Commons on the government’s taxation and spending plans on the basis of the latest economic forecasts.

Briefing published on APSE Big Energy Summit 2025

The national Local Net Zero Hubs network recently partnered with the Association of Public Service Excellence to deliver their annual Big Energy Summit.
