Building Management Systems (BMS) Workshop for NHS Trusts

April 23 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

This session will explore the challenges and opportunities associated with BMS, including common barriers to implementation, potential efficiency savings, and how Trusts can strengthen their approach to managing building performance to generate cost and carbon savings.

This will be an interactive session to support shared learning across NHS Trusts. Participants will have the opportunity to share practical experience of using or implementing BMS, discuss challenges (technical, financial, organisational, or operational) and explore solutions and best practice.

Please bring examples from your own Trust if possible. This could be successes, lessons learned, or opportunities for future collaboration. Participation is strongly encouraged so we can build a practical and supportive discussion.

David Coxon from Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be sharing insights from their experience implementing and optimising BMS. David will also outline the important differences between Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS), helping Trusts better understand how these systems can work together in achieving carbon and cost reduction, alongside Net Zero targets.
