RESP: Methodology Consultation – Technical Coordination & Network Planning Assurance

NESO is launching the RESP methodology consultation on 17 November and it will be open for responses until 16 January 2026. A series of webinars will be running to find out more about the consultation and how to respond.

The consultation is seeking responses in relation to the five components of a regional energy strategic plan:

1) Nation / Region Context

2) Pathways

3) Consistent Planning Assumptions

4) Strategic Investment Need

5) Spatial Context

This webinar will explore how technical coordination is a key function across all phases of RESP development to ensure coherent energy system planning. Also, how Network Planning Assurance (NPA) ensures that distribution networks’ strategic and load-related investment plans align with the direction of RESPs.
