Key updates this month include:
- Proposals for people living within a kilometre of new or upgraded energy transmission infrastructure to have their energy bills cut.
- A report from the government’s independent fiscal watchdog which has assessed that reaching Net Zero will cheaper for the government than previously estimated and that the economic damages of climate change far more severe – and another from the United Nations calling the clean energy transmission “smart economics” and highlighting the falling costs of renewables.
