Valentine’s Day may be over for another year, but the matchmaking continues in the North East and Yorkshire – for community energy projects looking to learn from each other at least!

If every community energy project inspires another community energy project there we will double the number of community energy projects in the North East and Yorkshire.

That’s the ambition behind our Seeing is Believing programme, which showcases how local groups and the communities they serve are benefitting from generating clean heat and energy project to nearby organisations just like them.

As part of the programme the Hub and our partners Community Energy England, Regen and the Centre for Sustainable Energy are hosting an online event designed to:

  • Connect newer community energy organisations with more experienced organisations in the region.
  • Connect local authorities who are in the early stages of working with community energy with those already actively involved.
  • Connect community energy organisations and local authorities seeking partnership opportunities.

By the end of the session – which takes place on Thursday March 26th at 12noon – participants will:

  • Make at least one valuable new connection
  • Identify potential mentoring, collaboration, or partnership opportunities
  • Contribute to emerging thematic peer clusters for ongoing learning
  • Shape insights that will inform regional Hub activity and future support

Registration is on this link – and when registering, you’ll be asked some questions about your organisation so that we can ensure you are in a breakout group with another relevant group.
