We’re helping local authorities across the North East and Yorkshire to improve the energy efficiency of low-income households through the Local Authority Delivery Scheme – Phase 2 (LAD2).

What is LAD?

The North East and Yorkshire (NEY) Net Zero Hub has received a total of £53.2 million of Government funding to administer as part of Phase 2 of the Local Authority Delivery scheme (LAD 2). The funding forms part of the £300 million funding allocated to the five Regional Net Zero Hubs in England by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

This scheme is helping to reducing household energy bills and supporting the phase out of fossil fuel heating.

Through LAD delivery, Local Authorities in North East and Yorkshire are delivering schemes with the support of local coordinators who can support with switching energy provider and other services to help households save money on their bills. Measures may include improvements such as insulation, double glazing, replacing gas boilers with low carbon alternatives and installing solar panels.

So far more than 2000 properties have benefitted from low carbon measures.

This scheme is helping to reducing household energy bills and supporting the phase out of fossil fuel heating.
